There are as many ways to earn money as there are things you can think of in a day. Unfortunately, almost everything you can think of for earning online costs or requires money, time, products, services, knowledge of what you're promoting/selling or providing as a service, and some marketing know how - usually a combination of all of these.
Products+Time but no marketing know-how = questionable earning amounts.
Money+Products+knowledge but no marketing know how = few dollars.
Knowledge+Marketing Know-How but little money = little window for money making if you don't have fancy bells'n'whistles.
Products+Money= what exactly are you doing here? Oh but if you aren't careful, as well - you can spend money and get scammed...
Services/Products+Money+Time= questionable results... you could sit and spin your wheels for a long time without marketing know how.
Ways to earn online include article writing and blogging, flipping website domains/sites, affiliate marketing, allowing advertisers to use your blog/site space, paid per hit/action/sale from visitors to your blog/site, get paid to sites (google doesn't like these much most of the time) which include paid to read emails, paid to click and view websites, paid to complete offers/sign up. Then, of course, there are physical products to sell online.
You may do crafts and sell your own products, flip/sell wholesale products you buy and stock or more commonly online, you can become an affiliate for physical products and set up an online blog/site as a store for displaying the items you sell for an affiliate commission. You might be involved with Amazon, eBay, Lulu (books mainly), or any kind of affiliate physical product site. You may also use special affiliate URL Shortener programs, do email marketing, be an affiliate of an autoresponder site/service - many of these programs are around online for people to earn from.
Usually, earning from just ONE of these isn't enough to bring in serious income - so a combination of methods is used. Combined programs to earn from are what most marketers refer to as INCOME STREAMS. If you hear this short phrase, you can be pretty certain that a program uses at least a half dozen different forms of affiliate opportunity in order to offer reasonable enough earning possibilities to be called a program.
There are also e-download and e-info product stores that are common online and provide affiliate programs for people interested in earning online. These are really plentiful online so you'll have to shop around for good product providers if you wish to earn affiliate commissions from these. Within this type of product base online is where you'll also find PLR (Private Label Rights), MRR (Master Resale Rights) and various levels of re-sellable or reusable text, video, audio content online. Many people make the mistake when working with PLR/MRR and related content by doing re-posts of content exactly as they have received it, then end up with black marks against them for not checking text for typos, duplications elsewhere online, etc. Google LOVES and HATES PLR/MRR content. Google loves content in general - but not duplicate and bazilli-cate copy and paste of the same content all over zillions of pages online.
There are travel packages, real estate packages, health care insurance, stocks, bonds and all manner of investment programs online. In this category, there are HYIPs to earn from - where might earn big using the "Cash and Dash" method of risky biz earning but eventually if you spend too much money and stay too long in the program you'll get scammed. For these types of earning, you'll need some specialized knowledge or, in the least - insider information before you consider and before you are able to make money online with these.
There are different realms that most marketers like to call "Arenas" because this is a fairly apt description for different marketing methods and, like arenas, each sort of money making type can be very large and full of many components, sites, personalities, and techniques.
I saved mention of three marketing fields or ARENAS for last because they are HUGE and can be used almost alone without other marketing or at least limited other marketing methods. On the other hand, they're often more effective when used in combination with the others.
- Email Marketing
- Safelist Marketing
- Traffic/Ad Exchange Marketing
- 10K Challenge uses all of the above together - whopper delivery of 3 HUGE sets of techniques and tools... ohyeah - the big ones.
Ultimately, no matter what you choose for "How to make money online," you'll be needing a way to get the word out about your expertise, products, services, and such, so you'll need to know or learn at least basic internet marketing.
THE METHODS THAT I USE ARE AS FOLLOWS:
- The 10K Challenge (marketing know how/traffic for all my links)
- Paid to read sites (incremental income and "seed money")
- Paid to read/promote sites (seed money)
- Paid to click sites (seed money)
- Article Writing sites (Hub Pages, Squidoo, a few others)
- Ebay and Amazon affiliate IDs in my writing site pages
- Weblogs/Blogs
- A few GPT Gadgets and Tool bars (Gomez Peer, My Browser Cash)
- Just learning to set up ads to use eBay/Amazon/Craigslist to sell on
- In the next site section, I'll explain these more clearly
My favorite earning methods are marketing with 10K Challenge and writing on article sites and blogs. It figures I would actually ENJOY one complicated method of earning and one really, really HARD method of earning. The hard stuff is the article writing. People actually have to not only visit pages where I have my articles placed online - they actually have to ENJOY what I write. Since I write BEST about weird topics and not so well about technical and marketing topics, I clearly am at a disadvantage with earning from writing - however... until the 10K program, my earnings came in from articles and incremental earning sites... see below (don't worry - I'm almost done writing on this page).
Even though I've started to enjoy success and real earnings/payments in the 10K Challenge, I still plan to earn via writing online. I don't write much in the way of internet marketing articles like almost every other marketer online. I like to keep things simple and keep the dirty words (1.Internet 2. Marketing) down to a bare minimum and provide information to my referrals and those interested in the entry level marketing know how stuff. I'm no definitive expert and those who are actually ETHICAL experts in the Internet Marketing field have articles that I'm not going to compete with (If they'd like to compete with me in my article genres/niches, I would welcome a "Challenge" but this might not happen right away...), so this blog/site is what visitors get unless they email, skype, twitter or otherwise contact me directly for more in-depth tips. Not to seem cheeky with that last statement, but goodness sakes - how would I create a site with content to cover EVERYTHING, anyway? (Some things need to be stated clearly right?)
